During the sparse moments when I’m not worrying about video, I’ve been dabbling in still photography lately. This is the first time that I’ve ever played around with the RAW photo format and I must say that it’s very addicting. I’ve even been missing some good video shots in order to get a nice still to add to my collection. So be prepared to see many more photos in the future. For now, enjoy this test gallery.
Equipment used: EOS 7D, 28-135 kit, Nikkor 50mm 1.4

I might join you on this 7D bit, the extra money spent on a 5Dmk2 to be full frame doesn’t seem worth it anymore. Plus the fact that the damn thing doesn’t even shoot 24p.

Steve: 7D is where it’s at. The body and functionality is much nicer than the 5D. Just get some fast glass to go with it and depth won’t be an issue.

I couldn’t say no to full frame, 5d is on the way; after the 24p firmware is released I’ll definitely try to do my part to help contribute to p22
could you link to the Nikkor 50mm 1.4 that you use. i need to pick up a fast prime for the 7d and had no idea that a nikon lens mount would work. much appreciated..

@james, 5d came in today; dead on arrival. So I have to send it back to BH. But not much gets done in Jan anyway but yeah Jed told me this is the route you’re taking things so it was the extra push over the cliff to get back on the train
