About the new Post22

  • We’re going with the more blog-like approach in order to deliver content faster and easier. I went from design to working implementation of this site in about two nights which gives me more time to worry about making videos.
  • I’m trying out this ‘premium’ Vimeo service as a test run for embedding video content. Please leave some feedback regarding how you like to watch videos on your computer. Ie: Quicktime, Vimeo, Youtube, custom Flash players, etc…
  • The site is modular and easily expansive. I wanted to put a bare-bones version of the site live at first and then add on the extra features as needed. I plan on having dedicated sections for photos, quick video clips, tutorials, forums (maybe), etc… Again, any feedback on this is greatly appreciated.

Vimeo is the way to go. also if the sites ever down and I need to get my p22 fix it’s there.

  5. admin says:

I just mocked the site up on paper then hand coded it into html/css using a text editor. The only hard part was integrating the site into Wordpress.

the clarity of Vimeo is really nice, but quicktime makes it easier to go frame by frame, which i always end up doing after watching clips once through in normal speed.

Thanks a lot for the feedback all. I’ll stick with Quicktime with a Flash option I think.

Hey, I would stick with quicktime, all the videos look real good, and the pictures are sick too.

What format do you save your videos with, I have been experimenting with H.264 and it has been working really good for me.

  23. Just thought i would comment and say neat design, did you code it yourself? Looks great.
