So, what the hell have I been doing?

Well, as boring as it sounds, I’ve just been busy. Between flying around for Red Hat, archiving a LOT of skate footage, taking a much needed vacation, and learning 3D animation from the ground up, the site has been a bit neglected.

Skate clips are on the way, but for now I’ll just leave you with this documented proof that I haven’t just been sitting on my ass and playing Skate 3 all summer. Read More

Interview with Billy Childress

Billy Childress has been photographing the North Carolina skate scene for about seven years.  For as long as he’s been around, skaters always get an extra jolt of motivation when they hear “Billy’s coming to town this weekend.”  If he had no skill with a camera, skaters would still be stoked to go out and shoot photos with him because of his non-stop positive attitude.  Personality is an important quality that filmers and photographers often neglect and we’re glad Billy doesn’t. We’re also glad he’s got skill with a camera. Enjoy the interview. Read More

Film & Destroy Status Check

Quicktime version available here.

Much like when we officially began the project, we still don’t know exactly what Film & Destroy is or will become.  The only thing we are certain about is that it’s going to be a film about skateboarding.

As it turns out, that is the only detail we need in order to get completely stoked about it.  So while we blindly dive deeper into this project, we’ll be keeping you updated with our findings along the way.  Here is the first of many Film & Destroy status check clips. Enjoy Read More

Photographs from North and South Carolina

Here are some of my favorite photos I’ve shot with the P22 crew around North and South Carolina. I shoot with a 7D,  Nikkor 1.4, Tamron 17-50mm 2.8, Bower 8mm 2.8. Enjoy!

Also, leave a comment or e-mail me if you know any skateboard photographers who would like to be showcased on the site. Read More

Behind the Contest with Mike Belleme

Each year Project 58 (skatepark in Raleigh) hosts a battle of the shops. Two skaters from a bunch of shops all over the southeast compete. When you get hundreds of skaters all together in one city most of which are friends who haven’t seen each other in a while, shit gets real out of hand. Skating usually takes the back burner to partying. As the icing on the cake, it was Dan Murphy’s 30th birthday. Read More

Best Damn Shop 2010 finals

Here are some highlights from the Best Damn Shop 2010 contest finals that went down last weekend at Project 58 skatepark.  It was pretty epic to say the least.  I only captured a fraction of the carnage that went down, but I hope you enjoy the clip.  I’ll work on getting all of the skaters names listed soon.
